News June 1st 2012 This month, La2, the cultural channel of Spanish public TV, will begin to air “El Canal de Castilla”, a series of four documentary films devoted to the canal constructed 18th-19th c. through the Castilian countryside. The episodes will be broadcast on June 10th, 17th, 24th and July 1st in half- hour versions, at 8 p.m. CET, and the full-length versions are to be released in September. The original soundtrack was composed and produced by Francisco José Cuenca. September 4th 2012 Official release dates for the full-length versions of the TV series “El Canal de Castilla”: September 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th, at 8 p.m. CET. October 15th 2012 Francisco José Cuenca was nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards in the “Best Song/Score – Special Feature” category for the original soundtrack of the “El Canal de Castilla” documentary film. Among the nominees in the feature film category are John Williams for “Lincoln”, Howard Shore  for “The Hobbit”, Mychael Danna for “Life of Pi” and Thomas Newman for “Skyfall”. The show will take place on November 15th in The Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA. The nominees are listed on the official website of the event at HOLLYWOOD MUSIC IN MEDIA AWARDS
